The Florida 300 is May 17-22 so tune in. We have live tracking and plan on broadcasting the starts live from the boat and possibly update during the race. We have a new set of Calvert sails that arrive on Saturday and the race starts on Tuesday!
On April 29-30, we sailed from Singer Island to Islamorada, Florida. We had a few objectives in our 180 mile run. We needed to shake down the boat before the Florida 300, get myself in sailing shape and get the boat to the starting line for the Florida 300. We used the weekend of April 23-24 as rigging weekend. Dennis Green is loaning us his spinnaker set up for the Florida 300 so we had to figure out how we were going to rig his Nacra 6.0 spinnaker on the Supercat 20. Main difference between the two boats is that the Nacra is 8' 6" wide and my Supercat is 12' 6" wide.
Team Cyberspeed officially entered in the Florida 300 catamaran race. The race goes from Islamorada, Florida to Daytona Beach, Florida on May 17-21. After stepping down from organizing sailboat races this year, I decided to race the Florida 300 which I helped organize and run the last two years.
